The sun sets on Phu Quoc Island...

We have enjoyed our time here, but alas our time is up! Tomorrow we head for Saigon, then Bangkok (fingers crossed), then home.

But before that, let us recount some wonderful times here on Phu Quoc Island!

Not to sound like a broken record, but once again, the people are what really make Vietnam so special. We are now checked back in to La Veranda and loving every moment of it. The staff here was so excited to see us back! And we were happy to be back. No more bed bug bites which is VERY good indeed!

Sara missed Baboo the monkey, and Peter had the need for speed, so we set off on the motorbike once again to visit Baboo at the Phu Quoc Pearl farm. We came armed with fruit which may have helped a bit. Sara is completely in love and wants to bring a monkey home!

We have been eating at a local restaurant the past couple of nights and ordering whole grilled red snapper, prawns, squid, etc. and loving the food and the prices! We took our motorbike into the night market and ordered some coconut pancakes off the street which were very good! We spoke our best Vietnamese and impressed everyone!

Peter is becoming a master on the motorbike and if things in Los Angeles were a bit different, we may even get one. But no worries to the parents, we will not be doing that!

The sunsets here are to die for! So perfect every night!

Today we relaxed by the beach all day and tonight we watched the most magnificent storm. First wind, then lightening, then came the intense rain.

Sad to leave Phu Quoc for sure! Excited to see what Saigon has to offer!
