We've reached a magical oasis!

Woke up this morning and got breakfast at our hotel as usual when mid meal, the hostess approaches Peter to say he had a phone call!!! What!!?? She gave him the cordless phone and he proceeded to have a conversation...video attached! Pretty funny! Turns out, it was someone from our next hotel, confirming our pick up and details. It was bitter sweet to leave our first place, we loved it so....but onward we went!

Well, we checked in today to our next hotel and apparently we have found heaven. If our elephants were here then it absolutely would be perfection! And there is NO ONE here!!! We think maybe 4 other rooms.

We have fulfilled Peter's dream now, because we are staying in a bungalow on a cliff with a private pool right outside our sliding doors! This place is gorgeous! Pretty hilarious though, because literally when we first got to our room, a MASSIVE storm hit! We were outside and the wind actually picked up the outdoor umbrella and threw it at our heads and into the pool...we are okay! At one point the winds were so strong we hid in the hallway thinking the glass doors were going to crash in on us! And then the water from the rain and the pool water from the wind all came pouring in through the bottom of the doors, and soon we had a mini pool on our floor in the room! So we spent the first bit of our oasis battling the storm...we covered the floor with ALL of the towels, hand towels, and rags from our room and just got down!

Once it was over, the cleaning crew came in and called us to make sure we were "okay". They cleaned the floors and spent about an hour outside picking up trees, leaves and debris from our pool!

We went for a walk around the property and boy is this place special! There are hidden pools and caverns and spas everywhere! And it really does seem like we have the run of the place! All the staff is above and beyond nice too.

And to top it off, once back from dinner, we realized that even though you are at a 5 star resort in the jungle, we're not in LA anymore! We have just spent the past half hour battling these weird moths that had gotten into the room and then an onset of giant Asian ants!!!! We are IN THE MOUNTAIN JUNGLE for sure!!!

But the sound of crickets, frogs, exotic birds, and things we will never know what they are is lovely and now, we set off to dream of massages and lounging!

love to you all!!!
